Why Should I Join the Boosters?
- It helps the school. A healthy athletic program contributes greatly to a positive high school atmosphere.
- It helps your child. Your donation contributes directly to every sports program at Half Moon Bay High. If your child is an athlete, Cougar Boosters deserves your support.
- It helps you. You receive free admission to all home games for every sport.
- It helps our sports program. Continued cuts to the athletic budget require additional support from the Cougar Boosters.

Cougar Patron
$2,000 and above - In addition to receiving a family pass to all home games, two Cougar jackets and two Cougar blankets, Cougar Patrons will be recognized on our new Patron Board.
Cougar Supporter
$500 to $1,999 - For your generous contribution to Cougar sports, you will receive a family pass to all home games, plus a HMB Cougar Jacket and a Cougar blanket.
Cougar Pride
$250 - The best deal for Cougar families. Receive a family pass to all home games for all sports, plus your choice of a Cougar jacket or blanket.
Cougar Starter
$100 - The "no frills" family membership package. Receive a family pass for all home games for all sports.
Cougar Cub
$50 - Receive an individual pass to all home games for all sports.
What Do the Boosters Do?
In the 2010-2011 school year, HMB Cougar Boosters raised $253,949.46 and distributed $246,954.86 directly into HMBHS athletic programs and facilities. All of was made possible through the efforts of many volunteers who spent countless hours organizing & collecting gates fees, prepping & running snack bars, planning & executing the Black & Orange Ball and other numerous fundraising efforts. Along with the HMBHS administration, volunteers were also at the heart with planning and contributing physical labor to many of the improvements funded by Boosters such as refurbishing the gym & basketball facilities, adding new bleachers and improving the snack bar. Below are other items that Boosters helps to purchase.
- All sports: Annual awards, Athlete of the Week pins, championship banners and patches, scholar athlete patches, block letters and recognition shirts for all coaches.
- Baseball: Helmets and catching gear
- Cross Country and Track: Jerseys, warm-up sweats, shorts and wind suits.
- Football: Jerseys, practice and game pants, annual helmet refurbishing, new helmets and shoulder pads and partial funding of the visitors’ bleachers.
- Boys Basketball: Varsity uniforms, rims, balls, ball bags and ball cages
- Girls Basketball: Uniforms, ball bags and basketballs
- Boys Soccer: Uniforms, equipment bags and ball bags

- Golf: Golf balls
- Softball: Jerseys and pants, helmets with facemasks, catcher’s gear, bases, batting tees, protective screens, softballs, bats
